In late 2012, I found myself in Geneva, Switzerland, clueless as to what to do in the city or where to go. I ended up doing what I’d taught myself to do in any situation where I was in a new city for the first time: I found some interesting locals and asked them where to go and what to do. My trip was rescued from tourist traps almost instantly.
Fast-forward a few months and Localeur.com was born in Austin, Texas, with the simple concept: help travelers learn what locals know about their cities and support the local businesses locals love.
