Whether you’re exploring Big Bend National Park by land or by water, you’ll definitely want to snap a pic of this jaw-dropping natural beauty hugging the shores of the Rio Grande.
The White Buffalo
Named for the albino buffalo bust mounted proudly to the wall, this bar attached to the historic Gage Hotel is dark, classy, and mercifully air-conditioned. (The hotel pool is also a literal oasis in the desert, should you need to beat the heat.)
Chinati Hot Springs
The unpaved road makes this place a bit tricky to get to, but the cozy accommodations and namesake springs are worth the trek. Hike, mountain bike, and explore, or take it easy with a lazy day in your cabin and in the water.
Pizza Foundation
With plenty of outdoor seating, this casual spot is a Marfa staple and a must when you’re in town. It’s also less than a mile from El Cosmico and a stone’s throw from Hotel Paisano and Hotel Saint George.
