Chilo’s

Chilo's is a Brooklyn gem that really shines in the spring and summer, but still does a body good in the fall and winter. Yes, the tacos and tostadas being freshly whipped up at the truck in the back are amazing, but let us not overlook how great the cocktails are, especially the available-year-round Painkiller. The frozen and sweet Painkiller pairs perfectly with each and every taco, plus it might even transport you to the beaches of Mexico on a still-chilly day in May.

Death & Co.

Death & Co is a speakeasy-style cocktail lounge that is worth the wait, if you’re lucky enough to know it exists and are able to find it on the nondescript East Village block. The cocktails are hand-crafted to perfection by master mixologists, who can challenge even the most sophisticated sippers. They’ll have you trying spirits and concoctions you’ve never considered before, and most times you'll end up loving them. Plus, the music is always jamming!

Galli Restaurant

While Galli has some of the best pasta dishes in the city, don’t sleep on their bar. The cocktails are an interesting spin on the classics, with ingredients like green tea, smoked mango, vanilla bean, and truffle salt featured. Also, since most folks are there for the food, you can always find a spot at the bar.

My creative process is pretty fluid. I find inspiration in many places. Travel and exploration fuel my creativity the most – and by travel, I mean local, domestic, and global. I believe you can find just as much inspiration down the street as you can across the pond. I'm constantly taking pictures of interesting places and things. I have over 60K photos in my iPhone photo album, which essentially serves as a mood board of sorts. And I hate to admit that I also find quite a bit of inspiration while scrolling on Instagram and Pinterest. In my opinion, they're incredible tools for finding new creatives from all over the world.

As VP of new business at Team Epiphany – a full-service cultural marketing agency in New York City, where I’ve spent the last 7 years of my career – my job is to create and foster strong relationships with brand marketers, share our agency’s dynamic offering and core capabilities with those key decision-makers, and secure new opportunities for the shop.

This requires me to be a relentless explorer and curious connector. Not only must I stay abreast of industry news and cultural trends that align with our business proposition, but I also need to know the right people. I’ve always been a people-person. I don’t subscribe to the “no new friends” mentality. I love meeting new people and expanding my network. And that has helped me throughout my career in this industry. Everything in this industry is cyclical. People move around often. I’ve been fortunate enough to build some great, long-lasting relationships that have evolved into real friendships.

At the end of the day, my job is to create opportunities for us where they may not have previously existed. And I'm grateful that is something I naturally enjoy doing.
