New England

New England, a collection of states in a region smaller than Texas, has an outsized influence on American culture due to its historical, economic, and political track record. Given the state of transcontinental travel across the Atlantic (or lack thereof) in light of COVID-19, New England offers the best stateside version of a European-style road trip, as several major cities and small towns with history and variety can be visited in as little as a week.
