Vistro

It can be tricky to find wholesome and healthy food amidst the ample street food and abundant cuisines in Bangkok. However, Vistro does it best in this city and is my number one spot for vegan food that doesn’t compromise on flavor! From their creative tacos and beetroot truffle ravioli to the Khao Soi, there has never been a dish that disappoints. And you’ll even forget their creamy and rich ice cream is dairy free!

Yentafo Phua Ki

My noodle cravings are wholly satisfied here, and if I’m really hungry, it’ll be at least two bowls of noodles for me! Phua Ki serves a variety of noodle soups and dry noodle bowls with different meats and noodle types with the most authentic flavors and delicious broth. What makes this spot extra special is the antique style shop house and decor.

Blue Dye Cafe

Blue Dye Cafe is quietly tucked in a small alley of a popular neighborhood and is one of the most quaint and humble cafes in town. Part ceramic store, part coffee shop (and light food!), I love coming here to enjoy the calm ambiance along with some quality catch up time with a friend or browsing the beautifully crafted ceramics. P.S. You can buy film for cameras here, and their cornflake fried chicken is one of Bangkok’s best kept secrets.

Baan Thai Massage

One of my favorite things about living in Thailand is the ease of going for a weekly Thai massage! I love Baan Thai because it’s a no frills place with great service and I can drop in whenever I want without a booking. I usually rotate among foot, full body, or back massage and no matter what I go for, I always leave with my muscles feeling refreshed.

Lively and upbeat. Always on the go. Caring and friendly. A blend of modern life and in-the-old-days feel. Bangkok is full of doers and adventurers, and without fail you can always find yourself immersed in the hustle and bustle of the city. In Bangkok, you can be standing next to the fanciest shopping mall full of high-end designer stores or upscale hipster cafes yet find an array of cheap eats and various shophouses with history on the street right in front. Don’t try to define the Bangkok vibe; just dive on in.

Professionally, I am a pharmacist by training, currently working as a medical writer in the healthcare industry. Creatively, I am a freelance photographer having done portrait and group sessions, professional headshots, and small events. I have always loved capturing moments on a camera from a young age, but it was only after I took photography classes in school and building a solid foundation around the technical side of photography that I became attached to honing my craft behind a lens, whether film or digital. I love that there is always something new to learn on my camera and from interacting with the people I photograph. On top of that, I feel very happy and fulfilled when people express their joy after viewing their captured memories.
